Originally from Lima, Peru I moved to New York State when I was 16 along with my parents and my two siblings. I am 47 years old and am currently based in Roxbury, CT. A wife and a mom of a beautiful little boy, I am a self-taught photographer,
My love for photography began when I was working at a Birthing Center at North Dutchess Hospital. One of the nurses needed help taking pictures of a birthing gown she designed. I offered her my help, borrowed a camera, asked two of my friends to model the birthing gowns for the photo session and my life changed. At that moment when I held
the camera in my hands and directed the photo shoot, I realized how much I loved photography.
I bought myself a camera and started researching the photographic possibilities of this beautiful instrument. I went to local camera stores, asked a million questions, took classes in person and online, browsed through bookstores and found out as much as I could about the world of photography. My family and friends became my guinea pigs as I practiced on them at parties, anniversaries, and any other events they had. Thank you to my family!
Now, years later, I get tremendous joy and satisfaction from capturing the special moments in my client’s lives. I can’t wait to work with you.
